What to ask before you buy a boiler?
There is a lot of research required when searching for the best boiler. Our experts are here to break down the most popular boiler-related queries so you know what system would best fit your home.
What size boiler do I need?
Boiler size is a crucial part of the decision process, as you need to make sure you have the space to fit the system but check that the power (kw's) is correct for your home as if your boiler is too powerful, it can waste a lot of energy and be less efficient.
Combi boilers are best suited for smaller homes with one or two bathrooms, as they are smaller in size and take up less space.
System and regular boilers are better suited to larger homes and need to be installed with a hot water cylinder, which often sits in an airing cupboard, garage or loft space.

How efficient are boilers?
Boiler efficiency is measured from ratings G (least efficient) to A++ (most efficient). Modern boilers are designed with advanced technology, resulting in increased efficiency and benefits for both the environment and your energy bills. When buying a boiler, you should look for one rated in one of the higher specs (A, A+, A++,) as they use less fuel, lowering your monthly energy bills.
Our Glow-worm regular boilers are ErP A rated, meaning they use less energy, which will help you save money when heating your home.
Is there a guarantee?
✔ Glow-worm boilers have a guarantee scheme where our Club Energy installers are on hand to fix any defects occurring in the system.
