What is a Cover & Care package?
Your GeniaAir heat pump* comes with a 2-year guarantee as standard. However, we also offer a range of Cover & Care packages to extend your guarantee for additional peace of mind.
Our Cover & Care packages bundle together everything you need to support your new heat pump now and into the future:
- In the first year, you'll receive an initial check by one of our dedicated engineers, which we call an Appliance Function Check (AFC). It's a bit like a one-off MOT for a car, which will ensure everything is working as it should be and is set up to meet your heating needs.
- In the second year and for the remaining duration of your chosen plan, you'll get an annual service to maintain your guarantee and give you peace of mind that your system is running efficiently and resolve any issues that might cause a future breakdown.
- If anything does go wrong, we've got you covered with our dedicated Vaillant engineers on hand to get you back up and running.
*To qualify for a Cover & Care Package, your heat pump must be less than 18 months old and have been registered within 30 days. If the customer takes out the Cover & Care package after the first 12 months, they will need to pay for both an AFC and their first service at the same time to qualify for a Cover & Care plan.

Prices may vary depending on the guarantee registered by your installer. Check your guarantee confirmation or speak to your installer before setting up your package.
Additional abortive and revisit fees will apply if the Appliance Function Check cannot be completed or signed off.
†Please note, your annual servicing date corresponds to your installation date and not the activation date of the package.

An Appliance Function Check (also known as an AFC) is our Glow-worm standard check to ensure your heat pump is correctly installed and functioning to its manufacturer’s specification.
